Between student loans, fiancial aid, and tuiton rates, the cost of college an be a major concern--and very confusing--for parents of high school students.  

St. Xavier University has sponsored Carl Sandburg High School, providing access to a valuable resource that helps you through the entire paying-for-college process.

Financial Fit, an online program from College Countdown, helps you:

       -Figure out how much you can really afford to spend on                    college

       -Find schools that match what you can afford

       -Understand the financial aid process, including student and              parent loan options

5 EASY STEPS TO GET FINANCIAL FIT FOR FREE:

     1. Go to www.collegecountdown.com/store/financial-fit-video-library.html

     2. Click the "Add to Cart" button near the top of the page, then                click "Checkout" when the pop-up appears.

     3. If you are a new College Countdown customer, create an                    account by clicking "Register".

     4. Set up your account and billing address, then click "Continue."           Click "Continue" again at the payment screen-you will not be             required to enter payment information. Click "Place Order."

     5. You can access Financial Fit at any time by logging in at                       www.collegecountdown.com and selecting Financial Fit in                    the "My Tools" drop-down at the top of the page

Please remember students and families that you don’t have to pay anyone to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  If you need any assistance, there are numerous free workshops throughout the state where students and families can go to fill out the FAFSA.  ISAC has a calendar of such workshops, including financial aid presentations and other outreach events, on our website: http://www.isac.org/students/before-college/outreach-activitiesevent-calendar/
