Key Club is a service organization sponsored by a local Kiwanis Club to promote school and community relationships. The club is unique for its aim in the development of character and leadership abilities through participation in community service projects, athletic and social functions, fundraising projects, and conventions. A primary goal of Key Club is to prepare young people for useful citizenship. Key Club is the High School service arm of Kiwanis International. It is the oldest (1925) and largest service organization for high school students in the entire world. The Key Club mission is to identify and develop the key leaders of our school and community through service projects and volunteering. Carl Sandburg Key Club is a member of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District.
