The Aquila student newspaper is dedicated to serving and enhancing the student body of Carl Sandburg High School and the surrounding community through a dedication to high quality journalism that provides news, information, and entertainment.

How it Works

• Editors meet to plan the content of the paper.
• Writers meet and claim stories and content.
• Writers interview the necessary sources and write the stories.
• All content is submitted to editors, then editors provide feedback for any necessary changes.
• Writers revise articles based on feedback and resubmit to advisors.
• Stories come to life on our website (SandburgAquila.org) and in print editions!
• There is a great amount of flexibility in the schedule of this club. If you are involved in other extracurricular activities this is still something you can do – just be in touch, and we will make it work!
